The Holiday Inn Algarve (Hotel Garbe) was built on the cliff top above the beach in Armação de Pêra in 1962 - more than 50 years ago - a long time and a lot of memories

Just returned from a family holiday. All the employees make a real effort to be helpful and friendly. The heated pool is great out of season,the breakfast's are good,the rooms clean and modern.I cannot fault this hotel!

17th Edition of the International Youth Football Tournament

 
The 17th Edition of the International Youth Football Tournament of Armação de Pêra, is taking place this weekend 14th and 15th March, 2015 in Armação de Pêra.

Once again we are proud to be a sponsor of the event, supporting sports practice by the children and promoting the local sports club Os Armacenenses who organises this tournament every year.The tournament will begin with an inaugural parade starting a 9.30am in front of the Holiday Inn Algarve, and the 12 participating teams will parade to the Municipal football ground, where the opening ceremony of the tournament will take place at 10:00am.  The matches will start at 11:00am.

This weekend - Sausage Festival in Monchique

The 22nd Traditional Sausage Festival is taking place in Monchique this weekend.  

It promotes and sells the  traditional sausages which have been produced in Monchique for generations.  As well as sausages you will be able to buy and taste many other regional specialities, honey, cheese and the local fire water.
