“Perfect”

 We have stayed at this hotel four times now over the past few years. It is a family run with other staff. The meals are good, usually a good selection of dishes, should suit all tastes. There is an outside area to take breakfast , this has lovely views along the beach. An Indian Restaurant is attached to hotel but is charged separately. Rooms can be a bit small but if you request a sea view room you get a balcony with views either along the beach or towards the cliffs and rocks. We find this hotel very comfortable and meets our needs, staff are very helpful . The beach stretches for miles, at the far end is an area where the fishing boats come ashore , here there are some small restaurants which sell fish caught that day, delicious sardines , grilled. The town is a short walk along a very nice promenade, small streets and some nice sitting area.

We last visited in April where we found the hotel had been decorated and the rooms refurbished. This is since it changed its name from Hotel Garbe to Holiday Inn Algarve. We are looking forward to our next visit in the future. This resort is very popular with the Portugese for their holidays , we understand that it can be very busy in July and August
