14th International Youth Football Championship - Armaçâo de Pêra

The 14th Edition of the International Youth Football Tournament of Armação de Pêra, took place on the 10th & 11th of March 2012, at Gaivota Football Ground in Armação de Pêra.

The Holiday Inn Algarve were proud to be a sponsor of the event, supporting sports practice by the children as a part of their healthy growth and promoting the local sports club Os Armacenenses who organises this tournament every year.

A total of 10 teams Portuguese and Spanish, with 140 athletes and 44 technicians played a total of 27 football games in just two days. The Spanish team Peloteros Sierra Sur from Seville won the tournament after defeating the Athletic Villanueva from Córdoba in the finals.

The tournament began with an inaugural parade in front of the Holiday Inn Algarve, which was attended by all the teams, who walked throughout the avenue to the village football ground, where the opening ceremony of the tournament took place.
