New Years Day Swim for Shoes

Congratulations and thanks to all those brave swimmers who participated in the Annual Swim for Shoes on New Years Day on Armação de Pêra beach in front of the Holiday Inn Algarve, either by paddling or getting totally immersed in the sea!

We are delighted to say that the total of donations raised to date from the swims on Christmas Day and New Years Day, the Christmas Eve Sandcastle Competition and the Boxing Day Treasure Hunt is €1278 which will all be used to buy new shoes for children in care.

We would also like to thank Hans and Claire and the Waterdog team, as well as Martin and Lynn for their superb help with this event and to all the newspapers, news agencies, radio stations and other media for their support in promoting this event
