Quiz Nights and Buddies Charity Success

During the early months of 2011, funds for the Gaivota Childrens Home charity in Albufiera were raised from Lynn & Martin’s quiz nights -- held at the ‘Holiday Inn Algarve‘, Armação de Pêra and various social outings with Carole’s Buddies (a group of like minded people). Visits included Alte and Monchique. Also before the summer break, a wonderful finale meal at the ‘Casa de Pasto’ restaurant in Algoz.
The total amount raised by each group was €500. A cheque for €1.000 was handed to Fatima Saude on behalf of Gaivota Childrens Home (Santa Casa DA Misericordia) .
This money will be used for the children to shop for some of their own clothes and to meet the cost of dental treatments, when required.
Lynn & Martin and Carole thank all those that took part in the events as well as all those venues that supported this very important charity work.
